TrimRx Review: Is It Legit?
TrimRx (Trim Rx) review, rated 6.9/10: BBB F, 3.4 on Trustpilot, $174 to $399 a month, how to cancel at 888-896-1612 and the 28-day refund rule.
- No FDA warning letter
- Prices checked Oct 24, 2026
TrimRx, also written Trim Rx, is an online platform that connects you with a prescriber for compounded GLP-1 injections. It calls them "GLP-1", which its site labels semaglutide, and "GLP-1 + GIP", tirzepatide. It is run by Metafit Pharma Solutions in San Diego, California.
On a 12-month plan, new patients see $174 a month for GLP-1 and $279 a month for GLP-1 + GIP. Month to month, its terms list $199 for the first month, then $299, and $349, then $399. The price is the same at every dose, and the consultation and shipping are included.
We rate it 6.9 out of 10, tier Fair. TrimRx has no FDA warning letter on file and its written terms are clear, but its month-to-month price is among the highest we track, it names no pharmacy, and it shows its full price list only inside the sign-up form.
The catch is the complaints. The Better Business Bureau rates TrimRx F, with 2,620 complaints in the past 12 months and a "Pattern of Complaints" alert. On Trustpilot it scores 3.4 from 4,933 reviews, 35% of them one star. Recent complaints describe orders that did not ship, refunds that were slow or refused, and charges after cancelling, so the cancel section sets out TrimRx's rules step by step.
No FDA warning letter is on file for TrimRx in the FDA’s published warning-letter list as of Oct 24, 2026. TrimRx doesn't name its compounding pharmacy, so the pharmacy can't be cross-checked.

What is TrimRx?
TrimRx is a sign-up and billing platform, not a medical practice. It says: "TrimRx is not a medical practice or a pharmacy. We do not employ health care providers". A prescriber from "independent, affiliated physician groups" decides whether to treat you, and a compounding pharmacy prepares and ships the medication. TrimRx names neither the groups nor the pharmacy.
The company is Metafit Pharma Solutions. Its privacy notice calls it Metafit Pharma Solutions, Inc., and the Better Business Bureau lists TrimRx under the name MetaFit Pharma Solutions LLC, in business since June 2024. Its terms and contact page give 12636 High Bluff Drive, Suite 400, San Diego, California 92130, and say it operates in California. The Better Business Bureau names Jake Miller as co-founder.
Here is how it goes. You answer a medical questionnaire, choose a plan and check out, then verify your identity with the last four digits of your Social Security number or a photo ID. A licensed provider reviews your answers, "no live visit needed", and if you are prescribed, a partner pharmacy ships the medication. TrimRx says you are charged only if a provider prescribes.
It sells two products, both injections: GLP-1 and GLP-1 + GIP. Compounded GLP-1s are prepared by a pharmacy to a prescription, and they are not FDA-approved; the safety section explains what that means. TrimRx does not sell brand-name medication: a provider may write you a prescription for one, which you fill and pay for at a pharmacy of your choice. To read about the drugs themselves, see our pages on semaglutide and tirzepatide.
Is TrimRx legit?
TrimRx is a registered company with no FDA warning letter on file, and it states its refund and cancellation rules in writing. It also carries a long record of customer complaints: an F rating and a "Pattern of Complaints" alert from the Better Business Bureau, and a 3.4 TrustScore on Trustpilot.
The Better Business Bureau has questioned how TrimRx bills and advertises. In March 2026 it investigated consumer allegations that the business "fails to wait for medical approval prior to charging and shipping medications". It also asked TrimRx to back up advertising claims, including "Results Guaranteed" and "Money-Back Guarantee". The bureau says that as of June 17, 2026, TrimRx had not responded to its follow-up.
There are two court cases. A class action, Laplante v. Metafit Pharma Solutions LLC, was filed on April 28, 2026 in federal court in San Diego. Metafit has asked the court to dismiss it, and no ruling is shown. The public docket summary does not say what the claims are. Separately, Hume Health Corp. sued Metafit for trademark infringement in the same court on August 13, 2026; the court granted Hume a temporary restraining order the next day, and Hume filed a notice of voluntary dismissal on September 7, 2026.
The care team is not named. TrimRx names no medical group, no clinician and no pharmacy on its site. Its pages describe the pharmacy differently from one page to the next: "a state-licensed sterile compounding pharmacy", "an independent, state-licensed compounding pharmacy", and pharmacies "that hold LegitScript certification". U.S. News, in its August 2026 review, says TrimRx partners with 503A compounding pharmacies; TrimRx's own pages do not state a type.
How much does TrimRx cost?
TrimRx's price depends on the page you read, and the full price list appears only inside the sign-up form, after the medical questions. These are the prices on its public pages on October 24, 2026:
- Month to month (terms page): GLP-1 (semaglutide) $199 for the first month, then $299; GLP-1 + GIP (tirzepatide) $349, then $399.
- 12-month plan for new patients (offer page): GLP-1 $174 a month; GLP-1 + GIP $279 a month.
- "Starting at" (home page): GLP-1 $179; GLP-1 + GIP $279.
The same offer page shows GLP-1 + GIP at "$179/mo" on a 6-month plan when you open it on a phone. A bundle page advertises "Weight Loss Plans Starting at $168", without saying which drug or plan.
The fees are simple. The price is the same at every dose: "Your treatment cost remains steady, even as your dose changes." The consultation, medication and delivery are included, and there is no separate membership fee: one TrimRx page says "Never Pay Monthly Membership or App Fees". TrimRx does not take insurance, but it accepts HSA and FSA cards, PayPal, and Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay.
A 12-month plan is a large purchase. At $174 a month it comes to $2,088 for the year, and at $279 a month to $3,348. TrimRx's terms call these "prepaid multi-month subscription plans", and its offer pages show payment in instalments through Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay. Only choose a long plan if you expect to stay on the medication that long. If you have side effects, talk to your provider.
TrimRx's pages show discount banners such as "Welcome Offer: Save $120" and "Save $200 + Free Shipping", without saying which plans they apply to. Check the total at checkout before you pay.

How does TrimRx work?
The care is online and mostly in writing. A provider reviews your questionnaire and may follow up with questions; the shipping policy says state rules decide whether you also need an online consultation. TrimRx states no time for the review. U.S. News reports that TrimRx does not require lab work at sign-up and that replies can take 24 to 48 hours.
Shipping is quick once you are approved. The pharmacy "generally" ships "within the next 48 business hours", and TrimRx says most patients receive their medication about 4 to 7 business days after approval. If your order has not shipped within 14 days, you can ask for a refund. TrimRx's offer page says dose adjustments and monthly check-ins are included.
TrimRx states no lab policy of its own.
How to contact TrimRx customer service
TrimRx's phone number is 888-896-1612, open seven days a week from 6am to 6pm Pacific time, as listed on its FAQ page on October 24, 2026. Its offer page also advertises "24/7 chat". The email address on its terms, contact and shipping pages is hello@trimrx.com, and its contact page has a message form. Post goes to TrimRx, 12636 High Bluff Drive, Suite 400, San Diego, California 92130.
Manage your plan, payment method and refills through your TrimRx account: the terms say you can "manage your subscription at any time through your client portal", and its FAQ says refills are managed through the portal too. The Better Business Bureau lists 783 complaints TrimRx did not respond to.
Is TrimRx safe? FDA status and warning letters
TrimRx has no FDA warning letter on file, under the TrimRx name or Metafit Pharma Solutions. Nothing is open against it at the FDA.
The pharmacy can't be checked. TrimRx names no pharmacy, so we can't match it against the FDA's letters, inspections or outsourcing register. Its footer says the medications "are produced in FDA-registered facilities", but it names none.
TrimRx's own disclaimer reads: "TrimRx does not practice medicine or prescribe medications. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not evaluated by the FDA for safety or efficacy. Results vary by individual and are not guaranteed."
The bigger question with any compounded program is the drug itself. Compounded GLP-1s are prepared by a pharmacy to a prescription. They are not FDA-approved: the FDA doesn't review their safety, effectiveness or quality before they're sold, and they are not the same as Wegovy or Zepbound. Formulas can differ from one pharmacy to the next, and some add ingredients such as vitamin B12. Compounding pharmacies are licensed and inspected by state boards of pharmacy; outsourcing facilities (503B) also register with the FDA and are inspected by it. The FDA can issue warning letters when either breaks rules on safety or sterility.
TrimRx's safety page lists the common side effects of GLP-1 medications, starting with nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain and constipation, and says compounded versions "May have different side effects or risks than FDA-approved versions." It asks you to tell your provider about any history of thyroid cancer, pancreatitis, kidney disease, diabetic retinopathy, depression or suicidal thoughts, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
The site shows a LegitScript seal, which we could not confirm with LegitScript.
How to cancel TrimRx
You cancel TrimRx through your account, by chat or by calling 888-896-1612, and its terms list no cancellation fee, as of October 24, 2026. What you get back depends on timing: an order already sent to the pharmacy "will continue through fulfillment", and a refund on a prepaid plan must be asked for separately, within 28 days of paying.
Steps to cancel TrimRx
- Cancel before your next billing cycle, as TrimRx's offer page advises.
- Log in to your TrimRx account and cancel the subscription there; the terms say you can request cancellation "through their TrimRx account".
- If you can't cancel online, use the chat or call 888-896-1612, seven days a week, 6am to 6pm Pacific time.
- Keep the confirmation. The terms say: "Once a cancellation request has been processed, the consumer will receive confirmation."
- If you prepaid several months, email hello@trimrx.com for a refund of the unshipped months within 28 days of the payment date.
When a cancellation takes effect
Timing is about the pharmacy, not a notice period. If you cancel before your prescription is sent to the pharmacy, that order is cancelled; once it has been sent, it "will continue through fulfillment" and the cancellation applies to later orders. The shipping policy adds that orders "cannot be canceled, returned, or refunded once a prescription has been approved and the medication has been processed or shipped", and that TrimRx accepts no returns after shipment. Payment for supplements is non-refundable.
TrimRx refund policy
TrimRx's terms list when you get money back:
- Not eligible: a full refund if the provider decides you are not medically eligible.
- Billing error: a full refund for a duplicate or incorrect charge.
- Prepaid plans: cancelling "does not automatically result in a refund". You get the unshipped part back only if you ask "within 28 days of the payment date"; after that, it "will not be refundable".
- Late shipping: if your order has not shipped within 14 days of being placed, you can ask for a refund "regardless of the status of your medical review".
All refund requests go to hello@trimrx.com within 28 days of the payment date. One TrimRx landing page also advertises a "Weight Loss Warranty": "If you don't, we'll refund you every penny." The refund policy in its terms does not mention it, and the Better Business Bureau has asked TrimRx to back up "Money-Back Guarantee" claims.
What customers report about cancelling
Complaints say cancelling is harder in practice. The Better Business Bureau logged 2,620 complaints about TrimRx in the past 12 months: 1,107 about the product, 772 about service, 268 about delivery and 172 about billing. One, filed on October 14, 2026, reads: "I cancelled my subscription on july 28 2026 I recieved no medication nothing was shipped I was charged $399.00". TrimRx's replies to recent complaints say it is "working directly with the customer" or that a refund "has been processed".
On Trustpilot, recent one-star reviews describe charges after cancelling and refunds that were slow or refused. Keep the confirmation of your cancellation and check your next statement.

What customers say about TrimRx
TrimRx has a 3.4 TrustScore on Trustpilot from 4,933 reviews: 55% five stars and 35% one star. Trustpilot says TrimRx invites customers to review it, and that it replied to 93% of its negative reviews. TrimRx's own pages show a "4.7 / 5 RATING" and a "TrustScore 4.5" from 204 reviews.
The five-star reviews praise easy sign-up, quick delivery and helpful support. Several of them also describe a problem, such as "my shipment still hasn't arrived". The one-star reviews from October 2026 describe four problems: prepaid orders that did not ship or arrived short, refunds that were slow or refused, charges after cancelling, and support that did not answer. One reviewer wrote: "I paid for 3 month subscription, only received one vial."
On the Better Business Bureau, TrimRx is rated F and is not accredited. It has 2,654 complaints in three years, 2,620 of them in the last 12 months, and the bureau lists 783 it did not respond to. U.S. News calls the online reviews mixed: quick shipping on one side, and customer service that "can be slow, difficult to reach and unresponsive" on the other.
TrimRx's figures are its own. Its pages say "98% Of Users Keep The Weight Off" and "29 lbs Average weight loss in the first six months", while its footer says its figures "do not represent clinical outcomes or individual results". The patient stories on its pages are marketing, not results you can expect. This site collects no independent reviews of its own yet, and we could not read Reddit for this review.
How we scored TrimRx
Our score combines seven checks. Each one counts for a fixed share of the total, listed below. Commission is not an input.
- Price transparency: 8.5/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). Every product has a public price, but the full price list appears only inside the sign-up form, and TrimRx's pages quote different prices for the same product; we take a point off for that.
- Cost and value: 1/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). We compare month-to-month prices: $299 for semaglutide ranks 27 of 28 compounded programs, against a median of $179.
- Medication and pharmacy traceability: 5.8/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). No pharmacy named, no pharmacy type stated, and nothing to find in the FDA's outsourcing register.
- Clinical access and oversight: 7.2/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). A licensed provider reviews every intake, but TrimRx names no medical group or clinician and states no review time or lab policy.
- Safety and enforcement: 8.8/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). No FDA warning letter on file. The site shows a LegitScript seal that we could not confirm with LegitScript.
- Terms, commitment and refunds: 9/10 (counts for 10% of the total score). No minimum term, no cancellation fee and a written refund rule. We take a point off because the Better Business Bureau has an open investigation of charging before medical approval and a pattern-of-complaints alert, and recent reviews report charges after cancelling.
- Availability and fulfilment: 8.3/10 (counts for 5% of the total score). TrimRx says it serves eligible states and confirms yours at sign-up, without a list; shipping times are stated.
This is our first score for TrimRx since we rebuilt this review. Confidence is low: our automated price check could not read TrimRx's pages, so the prices above rest on our own reading of October 24, 2026. Two of the seven checks carry an editor's adjustment, explained above; together they lower the total by 0.3. The method is on our methodology page.
If you are weighing TrimRx against MEDVi, we rate MEDVi 6.7, tier Fair. MEDVi has an FDA warning letter dated February 20, 2026; TrimRx has none on file.
