SkinnyRx is an online weight-loss program that sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide as shots or tablets, with the drug in one monthly price. It suits people who want a GLP-1 in pill form and a plan they can stop any month.
We rate it 7.4 out of 10, tier Good. The terms are clear and every plan is month to month, but the entry price sits above the group median.
The catch is the FDA record. SkinnyRx has an open FDA warning letter, dated February 20, 2026, and it names no pharmacy.

What is SkinnyRx?
SkinnyRx is a telehealth weight-loss program run by Lean Rx, Inc. It sells compounded GLP-1 drugs on a monthly subscription. The prescriber and the shipping are in the price.
Here is how it goes. You fill in a 5-minute online medical intake. "Once you complete the medical intake, a licensed clinician will review your information." Depending on your state, you may need a quick video visit first. If the clinician prescribes, a state-licensed pharmacy fills the order and ships it to you overnight for free. Each month you fill in a refill form to get the next supply.
The menu is compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide. Each comes as an injection or a tablet. SkinnyRx used to list a sublingual semaglutide drop too, but that page now redirects to the home page. The site also lists the brand-name Wegovy pill and the Foundayo pill, through a separate membership with no price shown, and marks both "Unavailable". SkinnyRx ships to 48 states. For what these drugs are, read our pages on semaglutide and tirzepatide.
Does SkinnyRx offer GLP‑1 pills?
Yes. SkinnyRx sells compounded semaglutide tablets and compounded tirzepatide tablets. The tablet pages now show only a first-month price: $149 for semaglutide tablets and $199 for tirzepatide tablets. When we read them on October 7, they listed $249 and $299 a month. The sublingual semaglutide drop is gone; its page now redirects to the home page. The brand-name Wegovy pill and the Foundayo pill appear on the home page, through a membership with no stated price, and both are marked "Unavailable". The compounded tablets are not FDA approved. Brand-name tablets are a different product from the compounded ones.
How much does SkinnyRx cost?
SkinnyRx's product pages now show only a first-month price. The compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide injections are each "$99 first month". Semaglutide tablets are $149 for the first month, and tirzepatide tablets $199. The price covers the drug, the clinician and free overnight shipping. There is no consultation fee and no shipping fee.
The product pages no longer say what you pay after the first month. When we read them on October 7, the monthly prices were $199 for semaglutide injections, $249 for semaglutide tablets and $299 for tirzepatide in either form. Check the renewal price at checkout before you pay. The pages show one price per form, not a price per dose.
All plans bill monthly. SkinnyRx publishes no 6-month or 12-month prepay rates. It does not bill insurance, and the compounded plans carry no membership fee. The Wegovy and Foundayo pills sit behind a membership with no stated price, and both are marked "Unavailable".
What the price buys: the clinician review, the drug, unlimited messages with the care team and free overnight shipping. What it does not buy is a lower rate for staying longer.
We can't total three months from the live pages, since they show only the first month. On the $199 monthly price in our record, SkinnyRx ranks 16 of the 20 compounded programs in its group, where the median is $168 a month.
For scale, a pharmacy pays $871.12 for a Wegovy 1.7 mg pen package, effective September 23, 2026. That is an acquisition cost, not what a patient pays.
SkinnyRx tirzepatide price
Compounded tirzepatide at SkinnyRx comes as an injection or as a tablet. The injection page advertises "$99 first month with free overnight shipping", and the tablet page "$199 first month". Neither page now gives the price after the first month; on October 7 both listed $299 a month. Both forms bill month to month, with no prepay tier and no membership fee. Shipping is free. There is no lower rate for a longer plan. SkinnyRx states no price per dose, so ask before you pay whether a higher dose changes the price. For what tirzepatide is, see our tirzepatide page.

Is SkinnyRx legit?
SkinnyRx is a real telehealth business, run by Lean Rx, Inc., with clear terms and a licensed clinician on every prescription. But it names no pharmacy, and it has an open FDA warning letter dated February 20, 2026.
The prescribers are "independent licensed physicians". The intake says "State-licensed 503A Compounding Pharmacy". That pharmacy type compounds a drug for one named patient on a prescription, and a state board oversees it. Without a pharmacy name, you cannot match any of them to the FDA register.
The site is plain about what is compounded. Its terms say "Compounded semaglutide is not approved or evaluated for safety, efficacy, or quality by the FDA." Each product page names the molecule and the form.
How does SkinnyRx work?
The care runs through a patient portal, with a video visit only where your state requires one. A licensed clinician reviews your intake and can write the prescription within 24 hours. The order ships within 2 business days.
After that, you have unlimited access to the care team and the providers through the portal. You can ask a clinician about progress, side effects or dose at no extra cost. Each month you fill in a refill form. A companion app for iOS and Android holds meal plans, medication reminders and weight tracking.
SkinnyRx does not state whether you can pick your provider, or whether it asks for labs. It also sells a separate Metabolic Health program, which you can use alone or with a GLP-1 plan.
Is SkinnyRx safe? FDA status and warning letters
SkinnyRx has an open FDA warning letter to Lean Rx, Inc. dba SkinnyRx, dated February 20, 2026. The subject is false and misleading claims, and misbranding, by a telehealth seller. The FDA reviewed the site in December 2025. It wrote that it "has observed that your website offers compounded drug products, including semaglutide and tirzepatide drug products."
The letter has no close-out. While it stays open, we do not link to SkinnyRx. No letter names a pharmacy, because SkinnyRx names none, and no other flag is open.
The compounded drugs themselves are not FDA approved, and the terms say so. For side effects, doses and who should not take these drugs, read our semaglutide and tirzepatide pages, which quote the FDA labels.
How to cancel SkinnyRx
You can cancel SkinnyRx at any time: in your account, through the Customer Help Center, or by phone at 1-888-979-9580. The plans bill month to month, with no minimum term, and the product pages say "No contracts or commitments - cancel anytime".
The trap is the renewal date. The terms say your subscription "will automatically renew for another subscription period unless you cancel at least five (5) days before the applicable renewal processing date." A renewal can be charged up to five days before the next period starts, and a cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
The refund rule depends on timing. "You may cancel your order and receive a full refund any time before a licensed provider completes your prescription review." If the provider decides you do not qualify, a full refund is issued within 24 to 48 hours. Once the prescription is completed and fulfillment has begun, the order is not refundable, and a part-used month is not either. Any other refund is case by case, and only after you return all unopened medication to the pharmacy, at your own shipping cost. Pharmacy, prescriber, payment-processing and shipping fees are never refunded.
The 90-day money-back guarantee is a weight-loss guarantee with strict conditions. It refunds what you paid for a compounded plan in your first 90 days only if your recorded weight at the end is equal to or above your starting weight. You must keep a paid membership for 90 days in a row, log your weight and your doses in the SkinnyRx app every week, and claim by email within 14 days after the 90 days end. It can be used once, and not if you have had any earlier refund or credit. If you have side effects, talk to your provider.

What customers say about SkinnyRx
SkinnyRx's home page now shows 16 member stories, each labelled "SkinnyRx Weight Loss Program Member" and each with a pounds-lost figure. We don't repeat those figures. The stories are about cravings, energy and confidence; none mentions shipping, the care team or cancelling. The Metabolic Health page shows three more short testimonials, about habits: thinking less about food, and short walks that are easy to keep up.
The tirzepatide injection page cites a "4.8/5 star rating on Trustpilot". These are the reviews SkinnyRx chose to publish; this site collects no independent reviews. Read the cost and cancel sections above for what you will pay and what you sign.
How we scored SkinnyRx
Our score combines seven checks. Each one counts for a fixed share of the total, listed below. Commission is not an input.
- Price transparency: 8.14/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). Fees are stated and our latest price re-read matched, but two forms show no price and the product pages now show only first-month prices.
- Cost and value: 3/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). Rank 16 of 20 on month-to-month prices.
- Medication and pharmacy traceability: 7.2/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). Pharmacy type stated, no pharmacy named.
- Clinical access and oversight: 8.25/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). A clinician review within 24 hours, no lab policy.
- Safety and enforcement: 8/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). The open warning letter.
- Terms, commitment and refunds: 10/10 (counts for 10% of the total score). Month to month and a written refund rule.
- Availability and fulfilment: 8.88/10 (counts for 5% of the total score). 48 states, but the excluded states are not listed.
We rescored SkinnyRx on October 16. Price transparency rose from 7.84 to 8.14, because our latest price re-read matched the prices on record. Its rank moved from 15 of 19 to 16 of 20, and cost and value held at 3. The total holds at 7.4. The method is on our methodology page.
